Opening in 2026, CHN-1 delivers 23.2 MW of AI-ready Chennai colocation infrastructure across 383,540 square feet as the first facility in Iron Mountain's Chennai campus. The facility features TIA 942 Rated 3 compliance with liquid cooling support, 8 data halls with block N+2C redundancy, and A/B underground feeds. CHN-1 provides carrier-neutral and cloud-neutral infrastructure with all Tier 1 carriers on-site, Metro Wave connectivity, dark fiber availability, and redundant meet-me rooms with diverse fiber points of entry. Located in Chennai's Ambattur industrial corridor in easy reach of the city center and approximately 30 minutes from Chennai International Airport, CHN-1 benefits from Chennai's position as India's primary submarine cable landing station. The Chennai colocation campus follows a phased development roadmap: CHN-1 (23.2 MW with 8 data halls across 383,540 square feet) is scheduled for phased delivery beginning in 2026, and CHN-2 (19 MW with 8 additional data halls across 396,075 square feet) is planned for phased delivery in 2028. This brings the total Chennai campus capacity to 42 MW across two data centers providing 779,616 square feet (72,432 square meters) of AI-ready space on our 4.3-acre secure campus.
